Finally, a consumer-friendly, design-oriented law firm website!

A friend of mine directed me to a particular attorney's website, and I've got to say, I'm impressed. It's clean, user-friendly, doesn't look like it comes from the Netscape era, and so refreshing from all those clunky, sad law firm websites I stumble across all too often. I've never understood why law firm websites appear overly stuffy--it's super easy to make something beautiful these days with programs like Wix.com.

I perused his blog a bit, and its refreshing to see the forward-thinking of this attorney. For example, instead of just saying "unpaid interns are generally illegal," he gives from DIY advice for cash-straped companies and understands the practical concerns of companies and employers. Thumbs up in my book--I recently got in an argument over an immigration attorney who was opening advertising for unpaid legal interns (and had the boldness to claim it was in compliance with FLSA). Needless to say, he was not the guy I called when I needed to contract out two immigration issues this week. (Disclaimer: I've never worked with this attorney and don't endorse him, I just like his thinking and his website).

If this is the next wave of law firm websites, hallejuah!
